Our strategy didn't work against Abia Warriors, admits Niger Tornadoes' Bala

Niger Tornadoes coach Abubakar Bala says his side's winning strategy failed to work out in their 0-0 draw against Abia Warriors, but insists he is satifised with the outcome.

Following a 0-0 away draw at Gombe United, the Ikon Allah boys failed to secure maximum points as they shared the spoils with Abdullahi Biffo's men at the Confluence Stadium.

Even at the result, the gaffer expressed delight at the quality of his men's performance and assured they will work on correcting their mistakes against Nasarawa United.

"It was a fine match and everyone can see the two teams gave a good account of themselves," Bala told Goal.

"In every match, you'll have your match plan though I always like a situation when the league is open like this - you can go anywhere to pick a point. We did in Gombe and if Abia Warriors come here to do same.

"The result is not a setback for us becuase we went to Gombe and took a draw, and we equally drew at home too, but everyone went out peacefully that is what we want to be seeing.

"We have to go back to look at our mistakes and ensure we correct them in our next game," he concluded.
