Nigeria wrap up U20 Women’s World Cup preparation by thrashing Wacker Innsbruck

Nigeria U20 women team defeated Austria’s Frauenliga side FC Wacker Innsbruck 4-0 to wrap up their preparations on Saturday for next month's U20 Women’s World Cup in France.

A brace from Rasheedat Ajibade and a goal each from Adebisi Saheed and Chinyere Igboamalu ensured the Falconets claimed a big win at the Sportplatz Wiesengasse Stadium, Innsbruck.

Ajibade opened the scoring after 42nd minute of the match as her effort gave the Falconets a slim first-half lead against the Austrian women topflight outfit.

The FC Robo striker grabbed her second of the match in the 67th minute before Saheed and Igboamalu added the third and fourth respectively to seal a resounding win.

Having completed their Austria tour, the African giants will depart for France on August 2, 2018, and will face Germany in their Group D opener in Saint Malo on August 6 before taking on debutants Haiti in the same city on August 9 and later China in Dinan-Léhon on August 13
