Breaking: Ngoma to miss Welayta Dicha clash

Yanga forward, Donald Ngoma will miss Saturday's CAF Confederation Cup first leg tie against Ethiopia’s Welayta Dicha after picking up an injury in training.

Yanga had hopes that Ngoma might not need surgery to solve the persistent ankle problem that has plagued the forward since he picked up the injury while playing against Ndanda in October, 2017.

Speaking in the press conference ahead of the match, Assistant Coach Shadrack Nsajigwa revealed that they will have to replace Ngoma with another option during the match against Dicha.

“Ngoma has picked up a knock, it’s his ankle, he will not be able to be feature in the coming match so we will replace him with another option,” said Nsajigwa.

This will be a big blow for the Jangwani Boys, who will also be without their number one striker Obrey Chirwa who is suspended for the game after picking up a second yellow card in the last game against Township Rollers.

Other players who will be sideline because of suspension are Kelvin Yondani, Papy Tshishimbi and Juma Said.
