Medeama's Boateng eyes Ghana PL top scorer award

The former Porcupine Warriors striker has reiterated his desire to win the top-flight's golden boot in the upcoming season

Medeama forward Kwame Boateng wants to be the winner of the Ghana Premier League goal king race in the 2017-18 season. 

The 25-year-old joined the Yellow and Mauve after parting ways with Asante Kotoko and has been in a blistering form in the pre-season.

He scored three goals for Medeama in the Ghalca G8 tournament as the Tarkwa-based club reached the semi-finals stage

"At Kotoko, there were lot of pressure to deliver but the pressure here [Medeama] is not like Kotoko. I am settled and elated to join Medeama," Boateng told Kessben FM.

"My target for the upcoming season is to win the goal king award. I know it will surely happen because my teammates are ready to support me in order to achieve this dream," he added.

Former Ashanti Gold star Hans Kwofie who, joined Egyptian Premier League side Smouha last month, won the award last season after bagging 17 goals.
