‘Massive news!' - Masuaku reacts to West Ham United’s 60,000 stadium capacity

Arthur Masuaku has reacted to West Ham United increasing the London Stadium to a 60,000 seater edifice.

The Hammers reached the agreement recently with the stadium landlords E20 and are set to occupy the largest Premier League stadium in London.

Left-back Masuaku is delighted with the ‘massive news’, looking forward to play in front of the lively West Ham fans.

“It is massive news that we are going to 60,000 seats. I think this is a really good, quality stadium and we are really happy to play our games at this big stadium,” Masuaku told club website.

“The fans are huge for us and, when they are screaming and shouting our names, they make an atmosphere and make it even better. I love playing for them and I really enjoy it.”

The 25-year-old defender joined West Ham in the summer of 2016 and has become a consistent fixture for the side.

This season he has made 13 appearances across all competitions, helping Manuel Pellegrini’s men keep four cleans sheets.

On Saturday, West Ham play host to Crystal Palace at the London Stadium and the defender who was impressive in their last tie against Cardiff City, providing an assist in the encounter will be aiming to continue the decent form.
