Amakhosi look set to end the current season empty handed and the experienced defender discusses the team's title hopes

Kaizer Chiefs defender Tsepo Masilela has urged his teammates to give their best in their remaining four PSL matches of the campaign starting with Golden Arrows on Saturday.

“We are not in a good position as it stands. The ones who are in a good position are the ones who are on top of the league standings,” Masilela told IOL.

Amakhosi surrendered their chances to push for the title when they went down to Cape Town City and dropped two points against SuperSport United.

“But we intend to give it our best in the remaining last four matches and hope for the best. We don’t have much control with regards to what happens in other teams," he said.

“However, we can only focus on ourselves and try our utmost best to finish in a good position.

"There are teams who are fighting to stay away from the relegation zone, there are teams fighting to finish high up on the league standings and there are also teams who are fighting to win the league title as well,” Masilela continued.

“We are expecting a tough encounter from Arrows as well. They are a decent team.

"They didn’t reach the semi-finals of the Nedbank Cup by mere luck. But for us, it’s more about finishing in a better position than we did last season.  We have to do better than we did in our previous league encounters,” Masilela concluded.
