Mario Lemina’s first goal in the English Premier League against West Bromwich Albion has been named as Southampton’s Goal of the Month for February.
After enduring a 16-game goalless run in the English top-flight this season, the 24-year-old broke his duck on February 3 as Mauricio Pellegrino’s side fought from behind to defeat the Baggies at the Hawthorns.
Lemina hit a ferocious strike into the top corner from 25 yards to cancel out Ahmed Hegazi's opener for the hosts before Jack Stephens and James Ward-Prowse sealed victory for the Saints.
The midfielder saw off competition from youth players Kayne Ramsay and Sam McQueen to claim the accolade.
The Gabon international arrived at St Mary's Stadium from Juventus in August, after his two years spell with the Old Lady where he notched three goals in 29 league appearances.
