The Netherland is unfazed about his Egyptian teammate’s present situation, opting to stick to the ‘positive side’

Virgil van Dijk is ‘not worried at all’ about Mohamed Salah’s worrying form for Liverpool in the ongoing campaign.

Salah had a tremendous first season on Merseyside, breaking several records and clinching lot of individual accolades, including the English Premier League Player of the Year.

However, his performances and output in his second campaign with the Reds has left a lot to be desired, with the Egypt international finding the back of the net thrice in eight league outings.

But the former Southampton defender stated that he is struggling to understand the ‘fuss’ around his teammate’s slow start and would rather stick to the positives.

“I don't understand all the fuss about him not being at his best because I think last year he had the same number as he had right now and there wasn't any issue,” Van Dijk told Premier League News.

“Obviously he knows that he needs to try and do a little more than he is doing right now but he's giving his all and I'm not worried at all. I'm looking at the positive side.”

Both players, alongside Sadio Mane and James Milner, are fitness concerns for Jurgen Klopp’s side ahead of Huddersfield Town clash on Saturday while midfielder Naby Keita has been ruled out of the contest at John Smith’s Stadium.
