Posta Rangers have confirmed the signing of former Gor Mahia midfielder Peter Opiyo.

Opiyo has signed for the mailmen from Al Markhiya in Qatar. He is among the new signings at the club as they prepare to take aim at the Kenyan Premier League title this season.

Others are Kennedy Onyango signed from Nakumatt, Dunson Kago (from Tusker), Osborne Monday and Cavin Odongo (Kariobangi Sharks), Peter Nganga (Nakuru All Stars), Suleiman Ngotho (Thika United), Marcelous Ingotsi (AFC Leopards), Luis Tera (Tusker) and Jeremiah Wanjala (Kakamega Homeboyz).

A total of 210 players switched clubs in the transfer window that shut down at the midnight of January 31, 2018.

Nakumatt FC and Kakamega Homeboyz were the busiest sides during the window, while Ulinzi Stars and Zoo Kericho, recorded the least activity.

Zoo has contracted only four new players, the least by any KPL team, and released five. Ulinzi Stars, on the other hand, has released only two players, Samuel Onyango and Stephen Waruru, while acquiring the services of seven.

Meanwhile, Nakumatt made up for the 18 players they lost by bringing on board 17 new players, while their counterparts Homeboyz signed 18 players and released 14.

Seventeen players have made moves abroad from Kenyan clubs. Of the seventeen, three are of Kenyan nationality.

Masud Juma has made a move to Capetown City (South Africa) from Kariobangi Sharks while Gor Mahia duo of Kenneth Muguna and Musa Mohammed have joined KF Tirana in Albania.
