Kim Grant will struggle to succeed at Hearts of Oak, says Zito

Former Asante Kotoko coach Karim Zito claims that Hearts of Oak's newly appointed coach Kim Grant may not be able to meet the targets handed to him by his employers.

Grant, 46, will play the role of a head coach as well as director of football  which Zito believes could create problems along the line.

“It’s difficult to understand how Hearts of Oak expect Kim Grant to combine two jobs at the same time. To be just the coach of a big club like Hearts isn't easy, yet they have added director of football to his job,” Zito told Sikka FM.

“Honestly, he will struggle to combine the two roles looking at the target he has been given to achieve. The club is too big not to have realised that assigning two different roles to one person will create problems. He may not succeed as a result but I believe it is not too late to change it.

"They can do something about this decision before it comes back to hunt them in the future when the Ghana Premier League resumes,” he added.

Grant has been tasked with ending the Phobian's run without a major trophy since 2009  and the development of young players.
