Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Virgil Vries will be out for two weeks with injury, the club confirmed on Monday.
The Namibian shot-stopper injured himself during Amakhosi's 3-0 win over Free State Stars on Saturday night.
According to the club's medical team, Vries injured his medial knee ligament.
Vries was handed his first start of the campaign in the absence of Itumeleng Khune, who is set to return to action against Baroka FC on Tuesday.
Khune is the club's No.1, while Vries is seen as a second choice goalkeeper.
Vries will hope to shake off the injury as soon as possible in order to battle Khune out for a place in Giovanni Solinas.
His performance against Ea Lla Koto caught the attention of millions of Amakhosi supporters, especially those who doubted his ability as a goalkeeper when he first joined the club on a free transfer.
Meawhile, Siphelele Ntshangase has been cleared for Tuesday's encounter against Baroka.
The 24-year-old produced a man of the match performance over the weekend, but he had to replaced in the latter stages of the previous after picking up knock.
The news of his availability will come as a relief to the technical team, especially as they are looking to build on their win over Luc Eymael's side.
