Ex- Orlando Pirates goalkeeper John Tlale believes that his former side will secure a win over against Bloemfontein Celtic at the Orlando Stadium on Tuesday night.

“Yes, Pirates could climb to the top of the league table, but that will depend on the results between (Mamelodi) Sundowns and Cape Town City.  Whoever wins tonight will have an advantage,” Tlale told Goal.

“However, these are not easy games. Pirates must be very careful of Celtic. Pirates have not been at the top for some time now and they will have to do everything to get the points,” he said.

“Celtic just played Sundowns last weekend and they played well to get a point. I think they can be unpredictable on a good day, but I give it to Pirates,” he predicted.

Bucs are placed second on the league table - a point behind the leaders, Sundowns, who have a game in hand.

“Pirates must not look at the log table, they need to play their normal game. They must forget that they have secured two wins in a row,” continued the legend.

“Once they focus or think too much about the league title, then things will start to fall apart and I am sure the technical team will manage the situation very well,” he said.

“I think Micho (Pirates coach Milutin Sredojevic) is experienced and he has settled well in the PSL He is not proving a point to anyone, but I think he deserves to win a trophy this season,” reacted Tlale.

“The players are playing for him and they understand him. I am confident they will put everything they have at their disposal to win the league,” he backed.

“They just have to remain level-headed, consistent and ensure that they continue collecting the points. You will remember he came in and brought stability and unity in the team. They are consistent so far and I am sure they can win the league for the club, bring back the smiles,” concluded Tlale.
