JDT's mercurial Argentine says team is prepared for a very difficult night in Ipoh

Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) are gunning for their first appearance in the final of the Malaysia Cup but face the obstacle that is Perak in the semi-final.

They have an almost fully fit squad to select from and Ulisses Morais will be losing less sleep about his team selection compared to Perak's Mehmet Durakovic.

Mohammed Ghaddar is likely to spearhead the attack, flanked on either side by Gonzalo Cabrera and Gabriel Guerra. The midfield pairing of Safiq Rahim, Ignacio 'Natxo' Insa and Afiq Fazail remains as solid as ever.

If there's any concern for JDT, it will probably be in their defence. The reigning league champions have only kept one clean sheet in their last six matches in all competitions with eight goals conceded during that period.

The absence of Marcos Antonio has put JDT's defence under the spotlight and that is the reason why more importance has to be put in the attacking sense where the away goals could play a huge significance.

Guerra with 19 goals for JDT this season is the team's top scorer and the Argentine is hoping that everything that they have done in the past weeks will bear fruit on Sunday.

"We know this game is very difficult for us. These two weeks we prepare very well for this game, so hopefully we'll do well. We know Perak is very good team and are stronger at home. But I'm sure JDT are ready for the challenge."

"We are not thinking to draw. We always prepare to win and that will make it easier for the second leg," said Guerra to Goal.

The last time JDT visited Perak Stadium, the game ended in a climatic fashion when Vladislav Mirchev grabbed a late goal to secure a 2-1 win for Perak. That will be a result that Guerra is hoping to avoid.

Having reached the FA Cup final with PKNS FC last year, Guerra is hoping to make the same stage of a domestic cup competition, but this time with JDT.
