ISL: Jamshedpur FC rope in Raju Gaikwad

Indian Super League (ISL) outfit Jamshedpur FC have secured the services of defender Raju Gaikwad ahead of the upcoming domestic season, Goal can confirm. 

The 27-year-old, who can play across the backline, was a part of Mumbai City FC in the recently concluded season. He made 15 appearances in the ISL which included 13 starts. However, the team failed to make it to the play-offs and ended up seventh on the table. 

The Men of Steel also failed to make it past the league stages of the ISL in what was their debut season and finished fifth.

The former Pailan Arrows defender has played for ISL outfit FC Goa and for I-League clubs Mohun Bagan and East Bengal previously. 

The Tata Football Academy (TFA) product has also represented India numerous times and will be hoping for a better season, personally and collectively, next time around.
