The Nigerian representatives’ defender has assured that his side will handle the Cote d'Ivoire side

Enyimba’s Ifeanyi Anaemena has expressed his confidence that the People’s Elephant will get a decent result when they host Williamsville AC in next week's Caf Confederation Cup fixture.

The game billed for Calabar will see Paul Aigbogun's men seek victory to boost their chances of reaching the competition's quarter final.

And the defender has revealed that his teammates are prepared to give their best to ensure they secure a positive result.

“Our spirit is high. We are optimistic about the match,” Anaemena told the media.

“Even though we're third in the group, we have the hope that we are here to give a good account of ourselves.”

The towering defender explained some of the challenges they have been facing in the course of playing on the continent and in demanding league such as the Nigerian top-flight but assured that as professionals they are doing their best to be focused at all times.

“But we are trying to adapt and get focused on the continent because it is more vital. It’s where we always give our best to make sure that we represent not only Enyimba but also Nigeria.

"So we have to give all. We are just working to make sure we get the best results.”
