I-League 2018-19: Aizawl FC sign Ghanaian forward Francis Dadzie

Aizawl FC have signed Francis Dadzie for the upcoming season of the I-League, Goal can confirm.

The striker had played for a few clubs in the Ghanaian Premier League, joining Asante Kotoko SC from Liberty Professionals Accra in 2013. He then moved to Bechem United FC before going to NorthEast United FC in the Indian Super League (ISL) in India.

During his time in the ISL, Dadzie made 11 appearances wherein he clocked 594 minutes on the pitch and scored once - in his third game on Indian soil that ended in a 1-3 loss against FC Goa.

When he was 18 years old, the 6'1" striker had earned himself a trial at Portland Timbers, a Major Soccer League (MSL) outfit, but failed to make it to the team.

Dadzie signed for Goan side Sporting Clube de Goa and scored a brace on his debut in the Goa Pro League (GPL) against St. Cruz Club Of Cavelossim and led his team to a 2-0 victory.

Aizawl FC had won the 2016-17 edition of the I-League and finished fifth in the previous season. They could not progress past the group stages in the AFC Cup 2018.
