Gor Mahia captain Harun Shakava has tore into Bandari’s anti-football tactics after the reigning Kenyan champions went down to the  Dockers on Saturday.

Bandari handed K’Ogalo a defeat on day one of the 2018/19 KPL seasons but Shakava believed that Bernard Mwalala side employed dirty tricks with time wasting, even as he conceded that they lost to a better side.

Goalkeeper Farouk Shikhalo, in particular, was a major culprit after the reigning KPL Golden Glove winner was seen rolling on the floor with every minimal contact as Bandari eat into the time.

"They won and we have accepted the defeat but they disrupted the flow of the game. What pissed me off was how they wasted time.

“Those are not good football tactics," Shakava said after the match.

Shakava however quashed talks that fatigue could have played a part in the defeat. "I don't think we are tired because if you watched the game we pushed them in the second half but it was their keeper who proved the difference.”
