Heading into the last match of the season, Felcra and MIFA were the only two left with a chance of promotion with the latter two points behind and needing Felcra to falter.

Yet MIFA were never in contention, not for even a brief moment. It was scoreless at half time for Felcra and MIFA, against Sarawak and Terengganu FC II respectively.

The Rivals were the first one to open the scoring when Shahrom Kalam found the net in the 56th minute to give Felcra a 1-0 lead.

TFII then broke the deadlock in the other match when Akanni Sunday found the back of the net in the 57th minute. But MIFA equalised quickly through L'Imam Seydi just two minutes later.

Kpah Sherman then put MIFA into the lead with 14 minutes left on the clock and left their coaching staff and fans nervously following Felcra's game to see if Sarawak can do them a favour.

But The Crocs were helpless and Felcra consolidated their position with the second goal through Casagrande in the 85th minute to seal a vital win and thus secured Felcra's promotion to the top tier.

MIFA's defeat of TFCII also meant that the latter finished bottom of the Premier League and will drop down to the FAM League next season.
