After the closing date of the nominations, it was revealed that FAM had received in total three nominations - Datuk Haji Hamidin Mohd Amin, Tan Sri Annuar Musa and Datuk Seri Abdul Azim Mohd Zabidi.
However as of Sunday June 3, only Hamidin has confirmed acceptance of his nominations while the other two have yet to inform FAM.
The duo of Annuar Musa and Abdul Azim have until June 14 to decide if they want to accept the nomination and run for the president's post.
"So far we have received only one, from Datuk Hamidin and the other two have not yet done so," said Datuk Wira Yusoff Mahadi, the acting-president of FAM during an event with the media on Sunday.
The role was vacated after HRH Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim decided to step down from the post, that he won during a FAM congress back in 2017.
With the role vacated, the new president will preside over a shorter than usual period, taking up the remaining three years for the term that was supposed to run initially from 2017 to 2021.
If Annuar Musa and Abdul Azim decide to accept the nominations, then the election will be held during the next FAM congress on July 14.
