Back in May, Mali ran out 1-0 victors, courtesy of a Mamadou Samake 22nd minute strike.
"If we got beaten by somebody in a competition, it doesn't mean we will lose again when we meet," Fabin said at the pre-match presser.
"We have prepared well and we will see.
"Any of the eight teams at this stage of the competition are capable of winning the tournament. So we are also capable of winning it.
"When you take part in a competition, you are ready for every team - that is why you have accepted to come."
Ghana beat Colombia 1-0 in their tournament opener before falling 1-0 to the USA.
The Black Starlets then got back to winning ways, beating hosts India 4-0 in the last group game, before accounting for Niger (2-0) in the round of 16 fixture on Wednesday.
The Eagles then handed Iraq a 5-1 thrashing in the round of 16 to make the last eight.
As part of preparations for the World Cup, Ghana and Mali locked horns in a friendly which finished 2-1 in favour of the Eagles.
