EXTRA TIME: Watch Black Leopards on football coming home

The PSL club had been dreaming of a return to their home ground, the Thohoyandou Stadium

It's a special occasion for the locals because Leopards returned to the Premier Soccer League for the first time in five years.

Football supporters have known that any visiting team would struggle in Thohoyandou because of how passionate their fans are, but shortcomings in the infrastructure led to fears they may have to play at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.

This was even more disappointing since they had to play their first home game at Peter Mokaba against Polokwane City, handing the home advantage to the away team.

Black Leopards amazingly won the game 1-0. Here you can watch a video with PSL operations officer Ronnie Schloss talking about the Thohoyandou stadium being close to readiness and giving locals new hope.

When officially allowed to play at home, that would give Black Leopards a massive boost of confidence. Let's hope football comes home soon!
