The security guard was attacked by angry fans after Kaizer Chiefs lost 2-0 to Free State and got knocked out of Nedbank Cup semi-finals.
Most of the shocking reactions on social media was focused on the way Maziba was attacked, and Chiefs marketing director Jessica Motaung decided to meet him after he returned from hospital.
Two of the attackers were arrested and one appeared in a Durban Regional Court on Monday.
