On Wednesday Mohamed Salah joined the rest of the Egypt squad after his extended break.
Salah scored a penalty in the 2-0 victory over Tottenham in the final on June 1. After his rest, the Reds attacker has now met up with his teammates at their training camp in Alexandria as they gear up for the Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon).
Salah and Ahmed Elmohamady were congratulated by their teammates for their respective club successes.
“The national team celebrated Mohamed Salah’s Uefa Champions League win with Liverpool this evening, and also Ahmed Elmohamady’s Aston Villa promotion to the English Premier League. The players and the coaching staff celebrated eating a tart and taking memorial photos," the EFA tweeted.
