Ex-AFC Leopards coach Luc Eymael linked with Gor Mahia job after Dylan Kerr resignation

Former AFC Leopards head coach Luc Eymael is among the top contenders for the vacant Gor Mahia's coaching job.

The position fell vacant after coach Dylan Kerr resigned on Thursday, leaving the club with no alternative but to find a quick replacement-with barely two weeks before K’Ogalo kick off their continental campaign in the Caf Champions League.

Eymael coached Ingwe in 2013 before falling out with the club. He is currently  in charge of the South African side Free State Stars.

Goal also understands that Brazilian Roberto Oliveira is another top contender lined up as Kerr's replacement. The 52-year-old, who is currently with Rwanan Premier League side, Rayon Sports, was in Nairobi when his current side beat Gor Mahia 2-1 in the Caf Confederations Cup group stage match last campaign.

A source within K’Ogalo has, however told Goal.com that nothing has been finalized yet; "The names have been mentioned but there is nothing solid yet.

"There will be a meeting where that will be discussed before a decision is made. We will go for someone who will help the team continue developing."

Gor Mahia has the Caf Champions League competition to fight for as well as the Kenyan Premier League crown.
