Eleje says he is expecting a tensed atmosphere at the Karkanda Stadium as a result of the rivalry between both sides. But is confident of his side's chances against the former topflight champions.
“This is another war we have prepared for very well. We know the history between both teams and it is on record that Katsina United do not like to be beaten by Kano Pillars,” Eleje told Goal.
"Because of this, the atmosphere is always very charged anytime both teams are about to play. We as players and coaches have done our part by preparing very well for the game. We know Pillars very well and it will be difficult for them to get a positive result against us.
“The technical crew too has done a lot to prepare our minds ahead of this game. We were divided into two with one part travelling to Ibadan for the weekend tie with Shooting Stars while the rest remained in Katsina preparing very well for the match. We are hoping in God that he will crown our efforts with the three points.”
Katsina United are 12th in the league table with 38 points from 29 games and a win will see the replace Kano Pillars in the 11th spot.
