The Democratic Republic of Congo National Team head coach Florent Ibenge has claimed that their friendly game against Tanzania on Tuesday will be a good test for both sides ahead of their 2019 AFCON qualifying matches.
Speaking to Goal, after arriving in Dar es Salaam, Ibenge said that the game will be a good chance to test his players against Tanzania a country that he knows has a lot of talented players.
He added that he is looking forward to the match because it will be a good preparation for both teams ahead of their Afcon campaigns in their respective groups.
“I am looking forward to the match, I know Tanzania was defeated by Algeria but the results means nothing ahead of our match, I hope to get one of the toughest tests and I will be ready for that,” said Ibenge.
The DR Congo squad which landed in Dar es Salaam includes star man Cedric Bakambu who is believed to be Africa's most expensive player after completing his January switch from La Liga side Villarreal to Chinese Super League side Beijing Guoan.
The last time the two teams met was in a friendly encounter in February 2012 where the game ended scoreless.
This will be the second match for Tanzania in the Fifa week after being defeated 4-1 by Algeria in their first friendly match on March 22.
