Champions League: PAOK’s Chuba Akpom in ‘good spirits’ ahead of Benfica tie

The 22-year-old has announced his readiness for their tie against the Portuguese side at the Toumba Stadium

Chuba Akpom has stated that he is in ‘good spirits’ for PAOK’s Champions League game against Benfica on Tuesday evening.

After ending his 16-year stay with Arsenal by signing a three-year deal with the Greek side on August 2, the forward is yet to make his debut having been an unused substitute against Spartak Moskow.

However, ahead of their first leg playoff tie with Rui Vitoria’s men, the youngster has taken to the social media to signal his readiness for the encounter.

“In good spirits for Benfica,” Akpom posted on Instagram.

While on loan at Saint-Truiden last season, the forward scored five goals in ten appearances and will be hoping to replicate the form for his new club.
