Former Kaizer Chiefs winger Edmore Chirambadare has resurfaced at Black Leopards where he's hoping to secure a permanent deal.
The left-footed player had been training on his own since his proposed move to Maritzburg United failed to materialise.
He was invited to train with the Team of Choice soon after being released by the Glamour Boys in May.
However, Chirambadare hasn't given up on his desire to want to continue playing in the PSL.
According to a source privy to the situation, coach Joel Masutha is impressed by Chirambadare, and if all goes according to plan, the winger could put pen to paper before the end of this week.
"Chirambadare is at Black Leopards. He's doing very welll, and the coach is happy with what he has seen so far. He could sign this week," the source told Goal.
Chirambadare fell down the pecking order at Chiefs in his second season after making a few appearances in his debut campaign in the PSL.
While he was one of the rising stars in Zimbabwe, Chirambadare got limited game time during his two-year stint with Chiefs.
He managed 23 appearances in all official competitions for the Soweto giants and scored a single goal in the process.
Fadlu Davids was not so impressed with him at Maritzburg United, but it looks like he may have already won the heart of Masutha.
Masutha is busy putting together a squad that will compete with the rest of the PSL teams this coming season.
Leopards have already lost Meshack Maphangule to Orlando Pirates, while a few of their players have been linked other PSL clubs.
Should Chirambadare eventually sign, he will be expected to hit the ground running at the Thohoyandou-based outfit.
