Crystal Palace striker Jordan Ayew is hoping to end his terrible run in the Premier League after an impressive performance during the international break with Ghana.
The 27-year-old, who is yet to register a single goal for the Eagles following his loan move from Swansea City in August, scored twice as the Black Stars cruised to victory over Ethiopia in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations Group F qualifier on Sunday.
The win brings the four-time African champions close to making an eighth consecutive appearance at the biennial tournament.
"I thank the fans for their support. I will keep on working hard. I want to take this goalscoring form to club level as well so they should keep supporting me," Ayew told Ghanasportsonline.
"I need to start scoring for Palace and continue for the Black Stars. We need their support because it's something that’s really important,'' he added.
Ayew, whose blunder against Tottenham Hotspur a fortnight ago led to Palace's defeat, has made eight Premier League appearances including seven starts. He is, however, expected to feature against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday.
