Asamoah Gyan is excited to register his first Turkish Super Lig goal in Kayserispor‘s 3-3 draw with Fenerbahce on Monday.
The Ghana international scored a late-minute goal to earn Marius Șumudica’s side their third draw in the league this term.
Umut Bulut opened the scoring for the Anatolian Star in the 41st minute of the encounter before Ozan Tufan levelled proceedings four minutes after to ensure both went into the break with a goal apiece.
After the interval, Roman Neustaedter and Souza netted to give the Yellow Canaries a 3-1 lead but an own goal from Neto and Gyan’s 90th minute’s strike ensured that the Kayseri outfit shared the spoils with their hosts.
The goal is his third in six appearances for the Turkish outfit this season in all competitions since teaming up with them from Shanghai SIPG in the summer.
And the former Sunderland talisman took to the social media to laud the feat while looking forward to more impressive outings.
“Great team effort to fight back. Thank God for my first goal of the season. This is just the beginning,” Gyan wrote on Instagram.
