The Golden Queens will go into Lagos FA Cup final game in pole position after destroying Royaltoms, and the skipper paid tribute to her side's focus

Rasheedat Ajibade says no team will be able to match the motivation of FC Robo Queen when they play their Lagos State FA Cup final against Young Talent Football Academy on Saturday.

Emmanuel Osahon’s girls are one win away from defending their crown after romping to a 7-0 success over Royaltoms Queens at Teslim Balogun Stadium on Friday, with Ajibade netting a treble with strikes from Folajobi Olabiyi, Omosuyi Ayowunmi and Chidinma doing the job.

Despite a week which could be described as hectic for the Nigeria Women’s Football League outfit, victory at Agege Stadium will hand them their first title of the season and the team’s captain is already prepared for battle.

''I feel great to reach the Lagos FA Cup final with my team. Let me just say it's our tradition, my team always get to the final of the competition and I'm so grateful that in my regime‎ [as captain], my team got to the final,'' Ajibade told Goal.

''It has being a torrid week for us – which could lead to a player breaking down, but since we are a youth team, we have been able to explore our youthfulness and show we can adapt to any condition.

''We played on Monday, travelled [to Owerri] to play on Wednesday and now we have played again on Friday and will play [on Saturday].

''With the encouragement we are giving ourselves, it is not over till we emerge as Lagos state champions. We tell ourselves that we have not gotten to where we are going to, so that motivates us to achieve more.‎''
