AFC Leopards might pay more than Sh2.6 million which they agreed to wire to their former head coach Ivan Miannert.

The Belgian had obtained an order in November 2016 to see Ingwe compensate him for wrongful dismissal and the club through their Secretary General Oscar Igaida committed to clear the arrears in six months starting from January.

Apart from January 25, where the club was to pay Sh500, 000, the remaining cash was to be paid in bits of Sh450, 000 on 4th of every month save for July 4 where, only Sh300, 000 was to be paid in cash as indicated in documents obtained by Goal.AFC Leopards agreement with MinnaertHowever, Minnaert has only received the first Sh500, 000 so far, meaning that the club has not wired monies for March and April as stipulated in their agreement.

In this regard, the coach has sought for help from Football Kenya Federation with a suggestion that the club be penalized further for late payments.Minnaert's letter to FKFThe federation has also moved with speed to write to the club requesting them of a status report about the agreement.FKF letter to AFC LeopardsIt will be interesting to see how the whole issue is amicably resolved.
