Commentary

That's all for today. Thank you for following our live coverage. Until next time, goodbye!
United will look to build on their momentum away at Southampton this weekend. Meanwhile, Istanbul Basaksehir aim to get back to winning ways at home to Denizlispor.
A commanding victory for United, who cement their place at the top of Group H. Bruno Fernandes' brace set the wheels in motion for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men, while a Marcus Rashford penalty stretched the lead before half-time. The visitors pulled one back through a Deniz Turuc free-kick, but United had the final word courtesy of a neat finish from Daniel James.

D. James
Goal
90' + 2' JAMES!!! 4-1! The substitute gets in on the act following a terrific move by United. Great link-up play between Cavani and Van de Beek sends Greenwood on his way. The England international shows great awareness to square the ball for the Welshman, who calmly slots home.
90' + 1' We are into the first of four additional minutes at the end of this game.
D. Türüç
Yellow Card
89' Turuc takes his protest too far after a throw-in is awarded against the visitors and goes into the book.
Ponck
M. Škrtel
87' Another change for the visitors with Carlos Ponck replacing Skrtel.
H. Maguire
Yellow Card
86' Maguire prevents the visitors from taking a quick free-kick and has his name taken.
M. Tekdemir
Yellow Card
85' Tekdemir is booked for a foul on Fred.
84' Had that Visca effort gone in, it would have made for a hugely interesting finish at Old Trafford. The visitors have demonstrated plenty of attacking quality today, but just been made to rue their general lacking of a clinical edge.
N. Matić
A. Martial
82' United have looked nervy in the past couple of minutes and Solskjaer sends on Nemanja Matic, with Martial making way.
80' OFF THE BAR! What an effort by Visca! The Basaksehir skipper unleashes a thunderous strike from 30 yards that crashes against the woodwork with De Gea grasping at thin air.
M. Škrtel
Yellow Card
78' Skrtel is booked for a foul on Cavani.
77' Out of nowhere, the visitors have pulled one back at Old Trafford. That is only the second goal United have conceded here in seven European games.
D. Türüç
Goal
75' TURUC! 3-1! A lifeline for the visitors. Turuc whips a fierce free-kick over the wall and the ball had already crossed the line before De Gea clawed it away.
Giuliano
B. Özcan
74' Meanwhile, Ozcan goes off to be replaced by Giuliano.
H. Kaldırım
B. Bolingoli-Mbombo
74' A double-change for the visitors. The first sees Bolingoli-Mbombo make way for Hasan Ali Kaldirim.
72' Almost a mix-up in the United defence as Tuanzebe's pass puts Maguire under pressure. Fortunately, the skipper is able to clear the danger in the nick of time.
70' A neat dummy from Cavani as he allows James' pass to run through to Greenwood. The England international cuts inside onto his left foot, but his eventual shot is blocked.
69' Cavani chases a loose ball as he seeks his 50th European goal, but Gunok is quickly out of goal to sweep up for the visitors.
67' We are into the final quarter of the game at Old Trafford. United are still looking comfortable at 3-0 to the good. Can they add to that tally?
65' Williams looks to make a telling impact straightaway as he fizzes a low cross into the box from the right. However, the visitors stand firm and clear the danger.
62' Telles' corner is met by the head of Maguire, but the skipper is unable to keep the ball down.
F. Gulbrandsen

D. James
M. Rashford
59' It is going to be a triple-change for United. The first sees Rashford make way for Daniel James.
57' There is activity on the United bench with Solskjaer looking to rest some legs ahead of this weekend.
A. Tuanzebe
Yellow Card
55' Tuanzebe catches Ba with a trailing arm and is shown the first yellow card of the game.
54' United have not always had it plain-sailing against sides from Turkey. In fact, before today, they had lost three of their four most recent showdowns with Turkish opposition.
52' Will today be the day that Cavani reaches half a century of European goals? He is currently on 49 and counting...
50' Great save! At the other end, Visca lets fly from distance. His effort is creeping into the bottom corner, but De Gea springs across well to deny him.
49' Chance! Fernandes picks out Cavani in the box. The Uruguayan twists and turns before his shot is deflected wide of the target.
48' The Red Devils have won their last six home games in European competition by an aggregate score of 20-1. Barring a dramatic sequence of events, they should make it seven here.
46' United get the ball rolling once more at Old Trafford.
M. Tekdemir
İ. Kahveci
46' Istanbul also make an alteration with Kahveci making way for Mahmut Tekdemir.
A. Tuanzebe
V. Lindelöf
46' United make a change at the break with Axel Tuanzebe replacing Lindelof.
The visitors had chances during the first period, but were unable to take them. They must be a lot more clinical upon the restart if they are to have any chance of salvaging something from this game.
United with a comfortable lead at half-time. Bruno Fernandes' brace followed by a Marcus Rashford penalty puts them in control heading into the second half.
45' + 2' HALF-TIME: MANCHESTER UNITED 3-0 ISTANBUL BASAKSEHIR
45' Wrong choice! It is four versus three as United counter with pace. Rashford leads the charge and has Fernandes to his right, but looks for Lindelof on the left and the visitors' defence intercepts. That was a great opportunity for 4-0.
43' Good block! Another great opportunity for the visitors, who break with purpose down the left. The ball is pulled back for Ba to strike, but his shot is deflected wide by the well-placed Maguire.
42' Martial has a chance to equal a 10-year record here. The Frenchman is looking to become the first United player to score in three consecutive Champions League appearances since Wayne Rooney in March 2010.
40' United counter at the other end with Martial leading the charge. He slips the ball through looking for Fernandes, but Gunok is quickly out of goal to deny him.
39' Free header! Ba should have reduced the arrears. The striker loses Maguire to meet an inviting free-kick into the United area, but cannot direct his header towards the target.
37' Eyebrows were raised as to why Fernandes did not take the opportunity to complete his hat-trick there. Although the way things are going, he is likely to have plenty of other chances in this game.
M. Rashford
Penalty Goal
35' RASHFORD!!! 3-0 UNITED! The hosts are cruising to a comfortable three points as Rashford calmly sends the goalkeeper the wrong way.
34' Following a consultation with VAR, the referee sticks with his initial decision. Rashford is going to take the kick himself.
33' PENALTY TO UNITED! Rashford is brought down by Bolingoli-Mbombo after racing onto a long ball in behind the visiting defence. But wait, we're going to have a VAR check...
31' The ball breaks for Ba to strike from the edge of the area, but he does not connect cleanly and De Gea gathers.
30' United still two goals to the good as we hit the half-hour mark at Old Trafford. Fernandes has both and it would be foolish to bet against him completing his hat-trick here.
28' Good effort! Visca whips a dangerous free-kick towards goal from 30 yards out, and his delivery is not too far over the crossbar.
27' Istanbul are aiming to avoid a fourth consecutive away defeat in European competition. They have plenty of work to do if they are to end that barren run here.
25' A wasted opportunity for the visitors. Awarded a free-kick in a promising position, they opt to play it short and Kahveci's eventual cross evades all of his team-mates, with the ball running aimlessly behind for a goal kick.
23' It is early days yet, but already looking like a comfortable win for United. Should the result remain this way, it would be their fourth consecutive home victory over Turkish opposition in Europe.
21' Fernandes continues to shine for United. Today marks his 35th appearance for the Red Devils since his move from Sporting Lisbon. That was goal number 21.
Bruno Fernandes
Goal
19' 2-0 UNITED!!! IT'S FERNANDES AGAIN! A terrible mistake by Gunok, who spills Telles' cross under pressure from Cavani. Fernandes is in the right place at the right time to pounce on the loose ball and slot home.
17' A rare sight on goal for the visitors as the ball breaks kindly for Visca, but the skipper is unable to keep his shot down.
14' Fernandes is also keen to get in on the act once more. He lets fly with a drilled effort from range, but it goes wide of the target.
12' OFFSIDE! What a goal that would have been! United execute a delicious one-touch move with Rashford providing a neat finish to round it off. However, their joy is short-lived as the offside flag is rightly raised.
11' The hosts threaten again with Martial leading the charge down the left. He delivers the ball into the centre, but it is just too high for Cavani.
9' United have an early lead at Old Trafford courtesy of Fernandes' eighth goal of the season in all competitions. He is unlikely to have ever struck a ball as sweetly as he just did.
Bruno Fernandes
Goal
7' FERNANDES!!! WHAT A STRIKE! 1-0 MANCHESTER UNITED! The hosts make their early pressure tell in emphatic fashion. Telles' corner is headed straight into the path of the playmaker, who rifles a thunderous first-time strike into the roof of the net.
5' Neat play by Martial as he cleverly turns away from a challenge in the box. However, Ozcan makes a vital intervention for the visitors.
4' Indeed, the hosts have made a bright start to this contest and quickly settled into their rhythm as they neatly knock the ball around maintaining possession.
2' GREAT RUN! United go straight onto the attack with Rashford embarking on a deep run into the heart of the visitors' defence. The England international weaves in and out of the challenges, before his shot is denied by Gunok.
1' The referee blows his whistle and the visitors get the match underway!
United are looking to get back to winning ways in Group H, having lost the reverse fixture in Turkey earlier this month. Nevertheless, six points from their remaining three games would see them through to the knockout stages.
The visitors also make two changes from last time out. There are plenty of familiar faces in the starting line-up including Martin Skrtel, Nacer Chadli, Demba Ba and Rafael, who returns to Old Trafford.
Manchester United make two changes to the side that beat West Bromwich Albion on Saturday. Donny van de Beek comes into the side as does Edinson Cavani, who makes his first start for the club. Paul Pogba misses out.
