Premier League giants Chelsea won their first-ever Champions League title nearly 10 years ago on May 19, 2012, beating Bayern Munich in the final in the penalty shootout.

Club legend Didier Drogba turned hero for the Blues on the big night as he equalised in the 88th minute of the match to keep Chelsea alive. Thomas Muller had earlier handed Bayern the lead in the 83rd minute.

In extra time, Petr Cech denied Arjen Robben from scoring from the penalty spot, thus taking the match to shootout where Chelsea won 4-3.
