Wanyama's inclusion is a big boost to Kenya's pursuit for a second appearance at the continental showpiece

Harambee Stars Coach Seabstien Migné has expressed optimism that Kenya will give a good account of themselves against Ethiopia in the Afcon Qualifier.

Stars will take on Walya Antelopes in the first leg on October 10 before hosting Ethiopia in Nairobi four days later.

Migne, who criticised Wanyama for missing the game against Ghana, now says that the inclusion of the captain is a big boost to the team’s pursuit for a second appearance at the continental showpiece.

“It won’t be easy against Ethiopia since they are also equally strong, but my players are up to the task and I am confident we will get a positive result,” said coach Migné.

“We won against Ghana without our captain, it will be morale boosting for us to also win with him (Wanyama). He is one of our most experienced players and will be crucial for us against Ethiopia.”

Kenya are joint second with Ghana after Sierra Leone were suspended by Fifa. Ethiopia are bottom of the table with no points.
