The Oluyole Warriors have not had a good ride at their home ground and their gaffer has stated that all areas in their team still need some touch

Following Shooting Stars’ less impressive record at the Lekan Salami Stadium, head coach, Fatai Amoo admits that there is no perfect department in his current setup.

The Oluyole Warriors were forced to see out another draw with Nigeria Professional Football League leaders, Plateau United on Sunday and the manager has pointed the need for improvement in certain areas in the team, particularly the defence and attack.

“There is equally a problem in the backline and also there is no department that is perfect in the team,” Amoo told Goal.

“From a coach’s perspective, we’ve not been troubled in all the games we have played at home and we have had more opportunities at the opposition’s goal than them having at our goal.

“In Calabar our opponents attacked very well, we made many saves. In Katsina, same thing happened, even in Wikki. Those made it glaring that in our home games our defence have been solid rock that our opponent have not done much in terms of offensive play.

“And that’s not to say our defence is very solid. So it is all still comes to the attacking department at home, if we had converted more chances we’d have won those games.''

The former Nigeria U-23 coach also bemoaned the antics of Kennedy Boboye-led Plateau United branding their approach to the tie that ended 1-1 unfair.

“The draw against Plateau United, I think in all honesty Plateau is the league leader and that means they have something to offer. The game ended in a draw. We will not say it was totally a loss for us.

“Plateau did not really show the spirit of the game. They were not fair in so many aspects. It was clear that they did not come to play.”

Shooting Stars are currently placed 17thh after garnering 11 points from 11 topflight games. And they visit Gombe United for their Matchday 13 encounter on March 12.
