Tabitha Chawinga eyes Chinese Super Cup glory against Dalian

Jiangsu Suning's Tabitha Chawinga is hoping to claim her third title on her debut as she faces Dalian Quanjian without Asisat Oshoala in Saturday's Chinese Women's Super Cup final.

Oshoala has been ruled out for Dalian due to her international engagement with Nigeria ahead of Africa Women's Cup of Nations which starts next week in Ghana.

The encounter is coming a week after both faced off in the Chinese Women's' FA Cup final at the Wutaishan Stadium, where Jiangsu claimed a 7-0 aggregate win after a 3-0 second leg win.

Before now, both strikers ignited their fiery goalscoring rivalry in the 2018 season in China, with the Malawian hugging the headlines, having outshined the reigning Africa Women's Player of the Year.

With Oshoala only celebrating the Chinese Women Super League title this term, Chawinga has won the Women's Championship and the Women's FA Cup, plus the league topscorer's gong.

Last season, Oshoala scored a brace to help Dalian to a 5-3 win over Shanghai in the 2017 Chinese Women's Super Cup final at the Wuhan Sports Center Stadium, Wuhan.
