Following his return to training on Thursday, Idrissa Gueye has joined Everton for their Portugal trip as they are set to take part in the Algarve Football Cup.
The combative midfielder played every minute for Senegal at the World Cup as the Teranga Lions could not make it to the Round of 16 after Japan toppled them with number of cards accumulated.
Gueye, alongside another World Cup player Gylfi Sigurdsson [Iceland] returned to training and are on the flight to Portugal with the rest of new manager Marco Silva's squad.
Gueye will be hoping to improve upon his 2017-18 showings which saw him make the second-highest number of successful tackles [117] in the Premier League .
The Toffees open their pre-season tour of Portugal with a tie against French outfit Lille on Saturday, before taking on FC Porto the next day.
