The embattled midfielder suggests he would likely become a Phobian again if talks come to fruition

Samudeen Ibrahim is back on the headlines in the local media after revealing ongoing talks with his former club Accra Hearts of Oak for a possible reunion.

The midfielder was suspended last year by the club for ‘gross misconduct’ after missing several training sections ‘without motives’.

The player and his representative had argued that he left the team because his contract had expired. Both parties eventually parted ways.

However, in a social media post on Thursday, Samudeen said he could return to Hearts if ongoing talks are successful.

“It’s true, talks are ongoing for my return. I’m still a Phobian so no problem. But pending on agreement between us,” he said.

Following a brilliant campaign with King Solomon FC in 2016, during which he won the Division One player of the year, Hearts of Oak snaffled the then highly-coveted midfielder, but he failed to live up the expectations in Accra.

The Phobians are currently second with 9 points in Zone B of the Special Competition.
