Reliance Foundation Young Champs 2017: 80 kids shortlisted for final selection camp in Mumbai

The Reliance Foundation Young Champs (RFYC) will be holding its final camp from May 2 - May 8 in Mumbai which is the culmination of the selections held at the eight Indian Super League (ISL) clubs. 

Piet Hubers, technical director of the Grassroots Development Programme for the ISL and Mark Vaessen, head coach of RFYC will be in charge of mentoring the selected kids as they compete for a scholarship.

A total of 80 kids have been selected for the final trials - Kerala Blasters and Chennaiyin FC have 13, 12 are from Atlético de Kolkata, 11 are from NorthEast United FC, 10 from Mumbai City FC, 9 from Delhi Dynamos FC, 7 from FC Goa and 5 from FC Pune City. The final selection has been made from over 480 participants picked by the clubs. 

The kids will take part in both theoretical and practical sessions during the five days of intensive training at Fr. Agnels, Vashi, Mumbai.

The RFYC currently hosts 41 kids selected over the last two years and have provided them exposure to footballing opportunities in India and abroad - including a multitude of Premier League clubs.
