Ahead of their weekend clash with Everton in the Premier League, Swansea City defender Martin Olsson believes the return of Ghana striker Jordan Ayew from suspension would be ‘a big boost’.
The 26-year-old completed his three-match ban last weekend following a straight red card against Huddersfield Town last month.
The Sweden international wants coach Carlos Carvalhal to play him against the Toffees as they push to avoid the drop.
"Jordan has been vital for us this season. He gives us something different going forward. I’m sure he [is ready to start] and will be in the manager’s plans for Saturday,” Olsson told his club's website.
“He has scored some important goals for us this season and we have had to play slightly different during his suspension.
“Welcoming Jordan back into the squad is a big boost for us. Tammy scored an important goal for us last weekend so his confidence is up, while we know what Andre [Ayew] can bring to the team too, so the manager is not short of attacking options for the Everton game,” he added.
Swansea sit 15th on the log with 32 points and did not record any win during Ayew’s suspension.
