New AFC Leopards Sacco strikes deal with insurance company

AFC Leopards Sacco have announced a partnership with an insurance company just weeks after they launched.

The insurance company that will be announced soon, will provide provision of last of expense cover for a sum assured of Sh200, 000 compensations to the members.

According to the Sacco chairman Maurice Osundwa, the policy will cover the principal member, the spouse, a minimum of four children and four parents. “This will help bring to an end the fund raisings for funerals when members lose their loved ones.”

Osundwa has also thanked the leaders, who attended the colourful launch of the Sacco led by Devolution CS Eugine Wamalwa.

“We want to thank the leaders, who attended the launch including those, who have expressed support and willingness to work with the Sacco for the sole objective of economic empowerment of the members.”

Apart from Wamalwa, other key political figures, who attended the launch are, Senate Speaker Kenneth Lusaka, Westlands Legislator Timothy Wanyonyi, Busia Governor Sospeter Ojamong, Budalangi MP Raphael Wanjala and Kimilili MP Didmas Baraza.

The minimum monthly contribution for the Sacco is Sh500 while the fee and minimum share is Sh2,200 which can be paid through Safaricom pay bill number 206777 while the account number is one’s national ID number.

Some of the legends, who have already registered with the Sacco include Josephat Murila, JJ Masiga, Aggrey Lukoye, Patrick Shilasi, Peter Lichungu, Peter Ouma, Mike Amwayi, Justus Muhati, Joe Kadenge, Dan Shikanda, Mohammed Abbas, Tonny Lidonde and Reginald Asibwa.
