Sunshine Stars’ Franklin Sasere has stressed that he is not at his best yet in the wake of his fine performance in the 2-1 defeat to Akwa United on Sunday.
The big striker had levelled matters for his team at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium before Victor Mbaoma condemned the Owena Whales to defeat.
The goal was his second on the bounce after finding the net against Wikki Tourist, but Sasere was quick to insist that he can still do better.

“It’s rewarding to score in two consecutive games but I know that my best is yet to come,” he told Goal.
“I won’t relent until I become an important player to Sunshine Stars, and ultimately help them win laurels.
“Despite the defeat, we must continue to aspire for greater things and hopefully we can pick a ticket to play in any of Caf club competitions next year.”
Sunshine Stars currently sit 16th in the league table, trailing leaders Lobi Stars by 13 points. They host Lobi in their next league outing.
