“Zwane is a player I’ve always admired. He does the fundamentals right and always does the right things,” Ertugral told the media at a press conference on Monday.
The right-back, who has been used as a centre-back and even left-back from time to time by Mamelodi Sundowns during his four-year stay, joined the Urban Warriors on a six-month loan deal from the Tshwane outfit.
He also gets to once again team up with Ertugral who managed him at Golden Arrows from between 2011 and 2013.
The Turkish mentor is confident that Zwane will add the necessary impetus from a defensive and offensive point of view that will help get their campaign back on track.
“He is a workaholic, and he can play in the two systems we use at Ajax. He will play against Pirates on Wednesday,” Ertugral said.
Zwane is the club’s seventh signing of the January transfer window following the arrival of former Orlando Pirates striker Tendai Ndoro, Gerald Takwara, Fagrie Lakay, Samuel Julies and Yannick Zakri, who also joined on-loan from the Brazilians among others.
They welcome an on-form Bucs team to the Cape Town Stadium. Pirates have won three of their four matches since the beginning of the 2018.
They comfortably dispatched Platinum Stars over the weekend, with goals from Justin Shonga and Thembinkosi Lorch securing all three points for them.
