Muguna on target as Gor Mahia win again

Gor Mahia registered another friendly win after they beat Fina FC 5-0 in a friendly played at Camp Toyoyo grounds on Saturday.

The win came hours after K’Ogalo won their first pre-season match after beating National Super League side Wazito FC 2-1 at the same venue. New signing Jean Baptiste Mugiraneza scored the opener for Gor Mahia before Kenneth Muguna, signed from Western Stima, made it 2-0 for a comfortable lead at the half-time break.

On resumption, Jacques Tuyisenge scored the third before Muguna added the fourth and Timothy Otieno completed the rout with a spectacular strike at the stroke of full time.

K’Ogalo had lost all their previous pre-season friendly matches and a section of fans had already started questioning the performance especially after falling to lower league side Administration Police in their recent match.

Against Wazito FC, Brazilian coach Ze Maria opted to start with his second string side and the result never disappointed. Anthony Mbugua and new signing Oliver Maloba scored one goal apiece to register the long awaited victory in the first match of the day.
