Mathare United goalkeeper Emmanuel Otieno will have to wait a little longer for his debut for the ‘Slum Boys’.
The youthful custodian, who was acquired in June from City Stars, will not be part of Francis Kimanzi’s plan when Mathare takes on AFC Leopards on Sunday.
Otieno, 19, is nursing a head injury picked during training and as such he has since been ruled out of the big clash of the weekend.
“Francis Kimanzi has a near full house to pick from with Emmanuel Otieno being the only absentee,” the club announced on Saturday.
Mathare will step out with high expectations of ending a seven-match winless run that stretches back to June 2 when they last picked a league victory.
Mathare are currently three places and four points behind third-placed AFC Leopards, who are joint on points with Bandari on 39 points.
The ‘Slum Boys’ twice bowed-down to Sony Sugar last time out.
