Man Utd fan Bolt reveals retirement plans involving Pogba, Nando's and Guinness

Usain Bolt is planning to take Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba for a Nando's and a pint of Guinness when he retires.

The Jamaican sprint legend will bring the curtain down on his glittering career after the 2017 World Championships in London.

He will be hanging up his spikes as an eight-time Olympic gold medallist and one of the most recognisable figures in sport.

Bolt is, however, looking forward to freeing himself of the pressures of professional competition and enjoying time with his friends, including Pogba.

The fanatical United supporter told the Daily Star: “I’ve not decided exactly how I will celebrate the end of my career, but as I am in the UK I hope to see my good friend Paul.

“We can go and have dinner at Nando’s. And maybe afterwards we can party a little and I might buy him a Guinness... but not too many because I expect him to lead Manchester United to be champions next season!”

Bolt has been quick to talk up his football ability in the past and went as far as to spend time training with Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund earlier this year.

He admitted in February that he hopes to play more once clear of the athletics track, with it his opinion that he could reach the level of recently departed United star Wayne Rooney,

Bolt told Laureus: "I've always wanted to try play football so that's in the pipeline, we'll see what happens

"I've had people suggest different teams or ways we could get into football so we've been looking into those things but were not sure what's going on yet.

"At any level, I just want to see if I would be any good, because I play football all the time with my friends and I think I'm at a good level so if I train and actually put some work in I think I could be pretty good.

"I'm not going to say I'm going to be the best footballer in the world, but I will be at a good level I would say, maybe at Wayne Rooney level, you know what I mean?"

Bolt is already 30 years of age so may have to rein in his ambition a bit, with Everton new boy Rooney having dedicated his life to reaching a standard which has allowed him to become a record-breaking goalscorer for United and England.
