It was another round of action packed Thai Premier League over the weekend with Nakhon Ratchasima FC and Sukhothai FC playing Bangkok United FC and Bangkok Glass FC respectively.
Shahrel Fikri (Nakhon Ratchasima FC)
Shahrel started the match having been an unused sub in the previous match against Air Force Central. It was a gritty performance against the league's second place team despite Nakhon being at home.
The former PKNP striker played for a full hour being being taken off by Milos Joksic midway through the second half as Nakhon battled out for a valuable 0-0 draw at the 80th Birthday Stadium.
After almost two months with the Thai club, Shahrel is still searching for his first goal for the club but has already started four matches for the team. Nakhon are now sitting in mid table in 8th spot, 27 points behind league leaders Buriram United.
Curran Ferns (Sukhothai FC)
Currans did not get off the bench in the 5-1 defeat to Bangkok Glass on August 4, the club's 12th defeat of the 2018 Thai Premier League season. Sukhothai are in a precarious position sitting in 15th place from the 18 as the bottom five teams will be relegated at the end of the season.
So far Currans has featured in all eight league matches that Sukhothai have played in since he joined them. However only four of those matches saw him performing on the pitch. Three starts and one substitution in with one yellow card received summarised his time there thus far.
The Thai League takes a break due to the Asian Games and Sukhothai's next match will be on September 5 when they host BEC Tero Sasana at Thung Thalay Luang Stadium.
