Malawi coach ridicules Harambee Stars after draw

Malawi held Kenya to a goal-less draw in a friendly match played on Tuesday

Malawi national team head coach Ronny van Geneugden has said that Kenya played ‘untidy’ game against them on Tuesday at Machakos County stadium.

The Flames battled to a 0-0 draw against Harambee Stars but coach Ronny van Geneugden says that his players could do better if Kenya played low football.

"I think our mentality was strong but Kenya played a lot of high balls which interfered with our game-plan. I told my boys to concentrate in good football and that’s why we moved closer in the second half. All in all, the team is making progress ahead of Chan 2018 competition."

Malawi are ranked at position 100 in the Fifa rankings, 22 places behind Kenya.
