The 26-year-old has been linked with a possible move to Amakhosi in the current transfer window, but he admitted a while ago that none of the Soweto giants' officials contacted him regarding the reported interest.
Chiefs have since signed Dumisani Zuma from Phunya Sele Sele as part of reinforcing their striking department ahead of next season.
According to a source within the Amakhosi camp, the club could have easily signed Mahlasela if they really needed him.
However, the fact that they already have three players in his position simply rules out any possibilities of Mahlasela ending up at Naturena in the near future.
Bhongolethu Jayiya, William Twala and Joseph Molangoane are the three players Steve Komphela currently has at his disposal.
"He has never been on the club's radar. Chiefs have anough players in his position," the source told Goal.
"One of the key focuses this season was to sign the players we needed the most and not just everyone that is available. So, the player in question will not be joining Chiefs," added the source.
With the transfer window only closing on August 31, it remains to be seen whether or not the club will stick to their story.
